This is the most comprehensive book on Washington fishing that I've ever read. The information is just incredible. It's got everything a fishermen needs to know about just about every kind of fish in the state, and where and how to catch them.

This book sets the standard for how rafting guide books should be written. It gives all the information you need before running a river: maps, river flow data including recommended ranges, directions to the put-ins and take-outs, and river logs identifying various rapids and hazards (as well as suggestions on how to negotiate them). If only the river trips could be as good as the book. While there is good rafting in Washington, don't be surprised to encounter rainy weather, ice-cold water, short float seasons, crummy put-ins/takeouts, and narrow, log-constricted rivers!

This was an eloquent and visually exciting way to experience all aspects of the Washington Wine Industry. I never realized that there were so many award-winning wineries in such a conentrated geographical area. I will definitely be sending this book for wedding, birthday and Christmas gifts from Amazon.com!

This lovely book, full beatiful photographs is a must for any one interested in American history and garden history in general. In fact it gives us Americans a garden history (slavery excluded) to be as proud of as the British are of theirs.
Lots of well researched interesting facts, useful advice, historical insight and pretty pictures make this book thoroughly enjoyable and I recomend it highly.

Excellent informative book! I am an equestrian and look for day rides in the Washington State, and this book clearly talks about all the old railroads bought by the state and turned into trails for walking, biking, hiking, and riding your horse! Each is mapped and has driving directions, lists restrictions and trail type, with pictures and telephone #'s for questions. Very informative and easy to use book!
